Quilt Fabric Calculator

Tell us about your quilt and we'll calculate exactly how much fabric you need — and show you how we got there.

Measure or use the standard sizes below

If using multiple fabrics, we'll divide yardage equally

A few notes: All yardage is rounded up to the nearest ⅛ yard to account for real-world cutting. Quilt top yardage assumes you're using the full WOF — if your pattern requires specific cuts or directional fabric, you may need more. Backing yardage includes 4" extra on each side. Always pre-wash your fabric before cutting — cotton can shrink 2–4%.
