✂️ Heads up: Your quilt is wider than your fabric, so you'll need to piece the backing with
at least one seam. Cut your fabric to the backing length and sew widths together using ½" seam allowances.
Consider 108"-wide backing fabric to avoid seams altogether!
Tip: These calculations add inches to each side of your quilt. For machine
quilting, 4" on all sides is standard. If using 108" wide backing fabric, enter 108 as your fabric width —
you'll likely need just one width with no seams.
